my little (and not so little) inspirations…

periwinkle bow and kickstand danger joy

I’d like to introduce you fortunate folks to two of the most soulful beings I know. They’re sort of a duo of super heroes (capes not included); a pair of well balanced, understanding, great-at-listening, and all around happy-go-lucky kids. These two are hugely responsible for my obsession with animals and an inspiration for this blog. They’ll be helping me rehab our lovely foster dogs who come and go (hopefully they go in better shape than they came). The first, an 8 month old pitbull mix named Periwinkle Bow, ended up in my lap by way of a local ‘rescue’ that she was most definitely rescued from. Kickstand Danger Joy, the 5,6, or 7 year old kitty (I mean, who’s really counting?) got her real start after a bum who used to pick up cans on the lawn of Charlie’s frat house dropped her off at Sigma Nu with a broken leg. So now you know the gang. Tomorrow the adventures begin!
